After the 'storm'...or is there more?

Had a real busy, tiring but happy morning, as I had to drive all the way to the airport to pick up Mikko who came in on the 7am PAL flight from Manila (had to wake up at 4am to catch it, poor thing---along with his tita (who drove him to the Manila airport) and Grama who just had to see that this apo got on board safely and on time...)...Twas such a great joy to see him again, BONES and all (yep, his' macho' frame (payat gud) seems to have lost more weight from being ill all week, as expected, boohoo.). Funny but it feels like that crisis with his being sick on exams week and Trina's woes just a few days ago was a thing of the very distant past!
We headed to the mall for his favorite batchoy, bought some apples for his request of apple pie (siempre, i asked him ahead of time what he wanted to eat while at home!)...before zooming back home to the Dole hospital where Doc Eva (the hospital director) was waiting to have some blood tests and xrays done. Finished everything in record time, and got home just a minute of two after Momon had rushed home to have lunch with his kuya...with Rene not far behind (he normally never lunches at home on Mondays, so having his son home was an exception)! Happy reunion gyud---esp when i announced to Mikko that for the whole week, he would be on 'house arrest', eating 7 times a day, in between sleeping--just to regain his strength and have some meat in dem bones agin! Hmm...problem lang: How will eating 7 times a day happen if he's also sleeping just as much???

Trina naman had her first day of Internship work with Summit Publishing. She actually had to leave her dorm at 7am just to make it to the offices at 9 (normally, it would take an hour lang, sans traffic)---and still discovered she had to combat the office crowd at the train stops in Cubao! The offices are in Ortigas, at the Robinson's Galleria mall (lucky her). She is to work from 9 to 6!! Oh my. Thrilled kaayo siya that she got her first time card (bundy clock?), she texted us. Early tonight will be battle naman with the crowd going back to Quezon City, and back to the dorm---now lonely with almost everyone gone for the break, poor dearie.

I didn't tell you before, but lately, i've been having some personal crisis with the church...not in terms of faith or anything like that, mind you---but in terms of getting frustrated that people are not just as committed as i feel they should be, if our church were to grow---if you know what i mean? I actually told them a couple of sundays ago that i'd reached the point where i just wanted to throw in the towel and say, "I give up, God! I'd like so much to just join the rest of 'em who just come to church on Sundays, sit down, listen, laugh, eat... and then go their merry way and forget all about the work that has to be done in terms of ministries...!" I was told to lighten up. Because i'd just get frustrated daw. And i do know what they mean. But murag maulaw man ko sa Ginoo, being put in this church, and not being able to move it to greater heights? But really, I can only do and yak so much, right? So lami kaayo to adopt your new 'motto': AAAAKKKK! IT'S ONLY A VOLUNTEER POSITION! IT'S NO BIG DEAL. I CAN ALWAYS QUIT AND HAVE THEM DO IT THEMSELVES!

I had an epiphany while driving to the airport kanina. That maybe, if i could only find someone who would want to hire me and use my people skills and what-not--it would be the answer to my growing frustration with my church. Like, if i had a 'real' job, that church would not be the sole center of my time and attention, right? Tama ba? Of course, there's always my family, but you know what i mean.
Of course, there's a part of me that screams, 'What's not to like about making the church (e.g. serving the Lord) the center of your existence?'
Hayy...dilemmas, dilemmas.
Enuf of dat, bundat! Basi abi lang nimo church freak ko or what. dili baya, ha?
Hey, sana you took pics of you sitting in the park listening to the Vinoy Orchestra! At least that way, i'd vicariously experience it, huh? babaw ba? hahaha.
